I bought these for my husband as his others had fallen too bits, and he has been wearing them everyday since the delivery, taking the dogs for a walk every morning and he is over the moon with them. As soon as he put them on there were no complaints about rubbing or blisters or hurting his toes, none of that just praise, the best pair he has ever worn. Put them on and comfy from the word go, no breaking in, just put on and went walking.
So he highly recommends these boots, excellent value for the money and he couldn't find one fault in them, which is very very rare with him, so I therefore recommend them as well.

Living in on a Welsh mountain, waterproof boots are a must. Thus, when I bought these as a cheaper alternative to my previous pair of over-worn Mammuts, I was living in hope of success. Thankfully, my hopes weren't proven false. Our of the box, I thought they looked great. When first put on, they fit perfectly (as experience has taught me to get half a size bigger [size 7.5 on a size 7 foot]). They felt and feel surprisingly supportive around the ankle and the mandatory breaking in period took the whole of 5-10 minutes of walking uphill, following which these shoes became the lightest and most comfortable boots I have worn. Such comfort, I feared could work to compromise the boots' waterproofing effectiveness and so I sought to test them thoroughly with the help of my dog who elected to lose his ball in a nearby patch of thick, 2-3ft high grass. As it was, and had been raining I stepped deep into the aforementioned grasses, expecting my boots to become saturated, but was pleasantly surprised to find they were bone dry on the inside. Further testing with submurgence in deeper bodies of water may be pending, but I just wanted to waylay any fears of the water resistant nature of these lovely boots.

V good service arrived next day boot is performing well so far have only had it for a few days have been in mud and fine rain so am waiting for that
torrential downpour!! However so far they are doing well I will report later on how they fared over the next few weeks

Second report on these boots firstly I have no axe to grind, I use these for taking the dogs out over our local forest, and roads.Over the last fortnight we have encountered heavy driving rain, deep puddles, thick mud due to forestry work, frost, and hard road surfaces, the average miles walked with Early AM, Late afternoon, and evening walks per day is a total of 4miles per day. At no time have I been let down by them feet have remained dry and without exception would highly recommend the boots and the price.I am uncertain as to why the couple of critical reviews report these badly

These are a good make and have had this make before, The build quality on these are great, The rubber soles last for a long time and i have never had the sole come away from the upper yet and the heals don't wear down as quick as other makes i have worn (i do a small amount of steps a day around 10,000 which is about 5 miles). My feet are comfy and don't sweat too much like trainers do. However i do have 2 minor complaints about these (This has not been reflected in the stars above as these are minor).

1. The shoe laces do come apart after a few months of tying.
2. the insole is loose and rides to the back of the shoe. (i just dab a bit of glue on and stick it down)

Would i buy again?
Yes

Are these worth the money?
Yes

Ok so I bought these boots because my old ones were letting in water, they are good and sturdy but day 1 first walk, wet feet.
I walk for around 2 hours each day on woodland paths, so no rough terrain. Day 2 weather showery, again wet feet. And so on . On a dry day they are all right until I hose the dogs and the boots get splashed, you guessed it. .....wet feet. The insole is terrible and slid up my heel forcing my foot to the front of the boot. Sore toes and wet feet. They are still a sturdy pair of boots. So I bought some good insoles and don't wear them near water but the material is not breathable. ...hot damp feet.
I do not recommend that anyone buys them.

This my second pair of Karrimor Mid range boots, which I purchased as I was so impressed with the first. I'm a standard size 8 (UK) and these boots are a perfect fit. The were so comfortable from the first outing and needed no 'breaking in' whatsoever - thats a first in my experience, especially for such a robust boot. The sole is durable and suitable for mixed or rocky terrain and the upper is tough but supple, as well as easy to get on and off. What more can I say - terrific !!

I originally purchased these for a trip to Bangladesh and Myanmar - they were comfortable, supportive and kept my feet relatively cool. Recently my walking boots for UK wet weather have finally started leaking after two years and so I tried these Karrimor boots today for 45 mins in wet grass - my socks were soaking wet afterwards. Going to have to buy an alternative.

These boots are the first hiking boots I have ever owned, and I tried a lot of pairs to get the right fit before buying.

They fit perfectly, and provide excellent foot and ankle support. The waterproof-ness is excellent, and withstood quite a lot of water during our hikes at Yosemite National Park. The boots are well made, and are very well cushioned - it feels like you're walking air. I was expecting to have to wear them in, but form the first long walk, no blisters, no aching or pain..just happy feet!

Looking forward to using them more!

Ok, yes they are very comfortable...But the second pair I received as a replacement leak as well. There is a serious quality issue with these boots and don't expect them to keep your feet dry from a little bit of wet grass.

Have had a number of these boots over the past few years. They're extremely comfortable and fit very well - best fitting boots I've ever had. However they seem to fall apart within 6 months of moderate use (frequent trips up to Snowdon, around the Cheshire countryside and around the Cornish coast).

For the price they're brilliant (for a few months) - just a shame I keep on having to buy new ones, eventually I'll find a pair of boots that fit as well as these, and hopefully don't fall apart in half a year. At that point I'll be buying Karrimor no more.
